Funded Account Rules & Trading Guidelines
Trading Hours & Position Management
- You can hold positions overnight and over the weekend as long as the market is open.
- The size of your positions is determined by your account size and represents the maximum used margin allowed across all products at any given time.
Account Balance & Drawdown Management
- Your account balance must not reach or exceed the End-of-Day (EOD) Drawdown Limit.
- The Drawdown Loss Limit increases by a predetermined increment as your account balance grows.
Daily Loss Limit
- On any given trading day, you are only permitted to incur a loss of up to 6% of the day’s starting balance.
- Surpassing this limit is a rule violation and will result in account termination.
- The Daily Loss Limit is always based on the starting balance of the trading day, not the fluctuating account balance.
Hedging & Fair Trading Practices
- Trading multiple accounts in opposite directions is not permitted. This practice falls under hedging and is considered a violation.
- If hedging is used in a way that is not related to a legitimate trading strategy and instead relies on randomness or exploitation, the accounts will be immediately disabled, and the profile will be suspended.
Funded Account Fees
- A one-time fee applies to funded accounts. This fee is normally $149 but is currently reduced to $49.
- There are no additional charges for the account beyond this fee.
Fair Play & Prohibited Trading Practices
Understanding the Simulated Market
While our simulated market closely mirrors real trading conditions, there are inherent differences. Some trading strategies may exploit these differences, leading to unrealistic results in the evaluation phase but eventual failure in a live environment.
At 4PropTrader, we aim to provide a fair and transparent trading environment and strictly prohibit the following practices:
Prohibited Trading Strategies
- Achieving the profit target in a single trade
- Disproportionate position sizing
- Opening significantly larger positions compared to your usual trading size
- Opening significantly smaller positions or an excessive number of positions compared to your usual trading pattern
- Withdrawing profits from a single oversized trade that is inconsistent with your trading history
4PropTrader reserves the right to determine whether a trader’s activity falls under prohibited practices. Violations will result in the permanent deletion of the funded account.
Do You Have a Gambling Rule?
Our Commitment to Responsible Trading
At 4PropTrader, we prioritize responsible trading behaviors and actively discourage gambling-style trading. Traders who rely on luck, erratic trading, or exploitative strategies are not welcome.
Warning on Quick Profits
Chasing fast profits through high-risk, reckless strategies is not sustainable. We encourage gradual and consistent profit-building for long-term success.
Forbidden Gambling Practices
- Overleveraging – Using excessive leverage without proper risk management.
- Random, inconsistent trading behaviors – Trading without a structured plan.
Crucial Reminder!!
Be careful with opening full-size positions in funded accounts because leverage magnifies your margin to a much higher amount. This means you won’t be trading your actual account balance.
All traders must adopt a disciplined and well-calculated trading approach. If a trader is found violating these principles, their funded account will be permanently terminated.
Failure to Comply with These Rules May Result in Account Termination.
